It all began with an eerie darkness, the first beings in this dark gloomy place were the gods. They were powerful beings. Since the beginning of time, they had strived and built a world of their own. Each god were entitled to a different power. In Total there were 16 gods and they were split into four clans, according to their power they possessed. Some gods possessed the power of water, fire, earth and wind while others had the ability to control light, the skies and it’s weather. The fire clan consists of two gods and two goddesses, Rivin; the leader of the clan, Aeden, the protector of the heart and bearer of the flame, Celosia and Shula. The water clan was lead by the beautiful goddess who ruled the waters, rivers and waterfalls of their kingdom, Darya accompanied by the goddess Aqua and the two gods; Po and Zale. The Sky clan was lead by the goddess Astra, followed by the goddess Calypso and their brothers Halcyon and Taurus. Finally the Earth Clan, this mighty and powerful clan was in charge of the land, the crops produced, the flowers, the trees and the food the land has harvested for them. The clan’s leader, Andor was a ferocious savage and a fearsome warrior. Lark the god, in charge of the all animals, insects and sea creatures was shy but kind, Ayala protector of the crops was both beautiful but witting and last of all gods was the youngest, flora, in charge of the beauty of nature, the flowers and plants. She was beautiful and was said to have eyes that gleamed like emeralds. The gods loved their home, and they all lived in harmony but became greedy for power, domination, knowledge and wealth. Combining their power and knowledge, they created a universe filled with planets and stars to illuminate the darkness surrounding them. On one particular planet, they placed two beings. The first woman created, Adira and the first male to be created, Anwell. The population of humans steadily increased over the years. Soon the gods, themselves began to have children. An oracle spoke to the gods and prophesied of the humans. She prophesied that the humans would storm the earth and destroy it and the gods and their children along with it. The gods and goddesses were outraged at this. They felt it was unsafe to place their children's in amongst the humans who were proving to be dishonourable and disrespectful, but instead created another dimension, where their children would be safe.

This dimension was called the Elemental realm. The people of this land were called the elementals. Just as their fathers and mothers, the gods, they were able to control a different element. There were four elements, water, fire, earth and air. Each elemental possessed a power within them. Some possessed the power of the flame, others possessed the power of the waters, lands or skies. This new dimension had five realms, this not including the main one 'Elisia' where the court and schools were built. There was the water realm 'Oceania,' the realm of all living things 'Arbor,' 'Pyra' the realm of fire, 'Aeras' the air realm and finally 'Ades' the realm of darkness. Laws needed to be put in place, and with that a monarchy.

Dalfon, first child of Aquarius, a water god, stormed out of the courtroom of Elisia filled with fury. He stomped heavily through the wide tiled hallways causing the tiles to crack with every step. He swung the door roughly aside. On his bed lied his pregnant wife with a bulge in her stomach. He stood glaring at her with utter surprise.

‘I’m pregnant,’ she said.

As the months went by, the bulge became very big. The bulge was bigger than what other women had told his wife and had said it was very unusual. This began to worry him. Calling help upon his mantissa, he ordered her to his wife’s room.

“Sire you’re wife is having twins," she muttered as she stared up at the ceiling. Her clear eyes seemed to be looking at the roof, although she had not seen for many years.

"Twins? This can’t be,’ he gasped.

“Both boys will be strong, but one will be jealous of the other. Forced into the darkness he will strive to be better than his brother,’ her voice boomed with a sense of rhyme.

‘We shall lock him up when he is born,’ Prometheus declared.

A tear welled up in his wife’s eye.

‘It’s the only way.’ His hand lay gently on his wife’s back.

Eleven moons later the twins were born and were named Baladan and Eric. Baladan was sent to the tower to be looked after by servants and was to live there. He grew jealous of his brother for being able to stay with his parents while he was locked up. His brother would visit him and tell him of his adventures and achievements through the bars separating them. Eric had lived a good and luxurious life while Baladan had been locked up all his life. So he created a plan.

The rulers at the time began to age and so an event was thrown to see who would inherit the thrones. Since everyone was related only the strongest, mightiest, bravest and most loyal elementals would land their spots upon the thrones of the four kingdoms.

Baladan was not allowed to participate in the competition. While he had been locked in his tower a boy who had been a sorceress’ son had taught him enchantments through cell bars. The event came around and Baladan was ready. With groans of pain he grasped the cell bars and stretched them. Crawling through the hole he had created in the bar’s he left the towers walls in search of the stadium. Outside the doors of the palace he placed an enchantment on himself. His once brown skin turned a pale blue, his black hair now white and his red eyes now red.

‘No one will stop me. For I am the rightful leader, Apollyon.’

They faced certain death, battling sirens and dragons but in the end, five succeeded. It was to be only four that were to be the leaders of the next generation. Four of the five remaining, Celina, Hayden, Tivona and Eric had sparked a friendship. And then there was Apollyon. He always seemed to be missing or was standing alone, he never once talked to the other competitors.

The ceremony had begun and Tito, a giant had made his way up to the stand.

Taking a piece of paper from his pocket he began to read the names of the future leaders. 'Eric Dyanos, Hayden Blaise, Tivona Tierra and...'

Before the name "Celina Azure" could escape the giant's lips a huge Blackclaw dragon burst through the stadium, clawing at audience members. Apollyon who had been standing behind the others, pushed them to the ground, making his way up to the stage. ‘Mavre drake, ela konta,’ he mumbled. A black claw dragon appeared out of thin air above him and began clawing at audience members with long talons. The dark creature swooped from the audience to the stand where Baladan stood proudly. ‘You will regret this,’ he cackled as he soared off into the skies on the dragon. Palace guards attempted to chase after the pair but the dragon was too fast.

Baladan had turned against everything the elementals believed in and used his powers for evil uses and because of this the Elementals were to never use their powers again. The god’s made sure of this and got rid of every book holding information on the powers the elementals held .The powers the elementals had were too strong, and were impossible to remove, so instead the God’s decided to brainwash every last Elemental.

In that time it was forbidden to marry another Elemental from another realm but Isabella Línníell and Dylan Calder didn't care. This would cause an uproar in Isabella's family as she was a royal. They were so madly in love Isabella was forced to run away to the water realm 'Oceania', where she disguised herself as a commoner for ten years, before marrying the handsome king in front of the whole kingdom. They had two daughters, Talia (Born of Water) and Kenna (Born of Fire). Them both being of different elements while being sisters was very rare and was called "Diversis El."

So this is where our story begins!
